Now that Spring Awakening is behind us, Riverwest Music Festival is the next big thing in Chicago. This is the first year that Riverwest Music Festival is taking place. It will be held on the riverfront near Division St. and Elston Ave during 4th of July weekend. The line-up for this brand new festival includes Excision, Deep Dish, Rusko, Dubfire, Loco Dice and many more. Although the line-up is smaller than other festivals in Chicago, it appears to hold many more quality acts. Never the less here is our guide for those looking to find only the finest and most proper house music.
Adrian Lux
Exposed to music at a young age, Adrian Lux is the son of two musicians. His professional career in music began as a teenage prodigy, earning fame as one of Stockholm’s leading hip-hop & reggae DJs. Adrian has toured the US with Tiësto, and is currently embarked on a 2011 worldwide tour including Ultra Music Festival, Beyond Wonderland, Ibiza, Australia’s Parklife, with dates through Europe, UK, Scandinavia and more.
Deep>Dish
Indisputably, it was “Junk Science”‘ that brought Washington D.C.’s Deep Dish into the glare of the world’s spotlight. Refreshingly diverse and reassuringly unique, Deep Dish continue to fly in the face of the purists who believe in the one-sound-suits-all theory of DJing. Deep Dish know that good music is good music and – like Tenaglia before them – they have no snobbery when it comes to making people dance. So if you like good music and dancing, Deep Dish should probably be on your list of artists to see at Riverwest.
Hot Since 82
Hot Since 82 is a Leeds based DJ & producer making some of the finest house music in the UK. He has enjoyed huge support from Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Joris Voorn, Jamie Jones, Richy Ahmed, Laurent Garnier, Pete Tong, Booka Shade, Seth Troxler, Maceo Plex and M.A.N.D.Y to name a few. With that being said, Hot Since 82 is defiantly a must see artist.
Jamie Jones

Loco Dice is someone who can puzzle together intangible moods with a direct approach. he merges perspectives in his delicate sense for sounds and reflective atmospheres, underpinned with solid, physical grooves inspired by the hip hop that was his early sonic stomping ground in the mid- to late ‘90s.
