When it comes to music festivals, it can be hard to find acts that are playing actual good house music compared to the usual big room EDM bullshit. Everyone goes from stage to stage only to hear the same 10 songs being played. This year we wanted to help out all of the true house music fans out there, so here is House Music Saved My Life’s official guide to Spring Awakening Music Festival 2014.
Claude Vonstroke B2B Green Velvet
If you like House music, this set will undoubtably blow your mind. Claude Vonstroke is the owner of Dirtybird and Mothership Records. He has been producing music for over 10 years and has put out 3 studio albums, along with many singles. The Chicago native, Green Velvet, has been in the game for over 20 years and has released 7 studio albums. We saw him at Spring Awakening last year and he did not disappoint. These two legends are going back-to-back for 2 straight hours of proper house.
Stage: The Hanger
Time: Saturday 7:30-9:30pm
Tchami
If you haven’t heard of Tchami lately, you should probably crawl back out from underneath that rock. Hailing from Paris France, Tchami has been making a lot of waves as of late. In the last year or so, he has dropped numerous charting tracks. Balancing his production style somewhere in between Deep and Tech House, Tchami is nothing short of spectacular!
Stage: Equinox
Time: Saturday 7:00-8:00pm
Derrick Carter
Another Chicago native, Derrick Carter, will be bringing you some proper house music this weekend. Carter has been playing underground house music pretty much since it originated. So as you can imagine, the man has plenty of experience under his belt and he will deliver one of the best sets this weekend, without a doubt.
Stage: The Hanger

Kings Of Class
“House Music Saved My Life” should be enough to let you to know that Kings Of Class are going to bring the heat to get your feet movin’ and your head bobbin’. Fresh off the release of their latest “Pool Party Poon Punisher” KOC will be dropping some exclusive material from their arsenal, that has not yet been released. Our boys are back at Spring Awakening this year and you definitely don’t want to miss this set.

Kalta
Kalta is a Chicago based producer, originally from Italy. This guy has some serious talent both in the studio and behind the decks. He is one half of the rather new, but quickly rising Chicago duo, Freak Island. We highly recommend checking out his set at Spring Awakening, you won’t be disappointed.
