You may remember the article we wrote about The Godfather of house, Frankie Knuckles, passing away earlier this year. Frankie was one of the pioneers of house music and was a huge part of the movement in the 80’s. Tonight the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events is holding a tribute event at Millennium Park. This is an all ages event and it is free of charge! If you are a fan of house music or good music in general, we highly suggest attending this event and paying a tribute to one of the greatest and most influential artists of our time.
DJ’s include:
Mike Winston
Craig Loftis
Greg Gray
Elbert Phillips
Words by:
Robert Williams
Alan King
